The night
Unobtrusively gives way
To a sunrise
In popsicle colours
Yellow suckers hanging on silent orangesticks
Black boughs dressed in pink candy floss
Ghostily floating upon a misty layer of granny's hair
            Lollipops dripping rosewater sherbet
            Spreading across the velvet sky
            Sprinkled with sugar crystals
