Mandela didn't even give you a mangy dog.He got the sturdy red elephant from Germany
And his comrades took the sleek lion of Africa,
While the old crocodile has gone to sleep
In the wilderness
Lying down with the tiger an' all,
And the wily de Klerk
Has kept the armoured hippos
And the mechanised elephants
And the fiery red falcons
Under the stewardship
Of his little poodles
And you and me, my sister,We do what we always do:
Pick up the doggy dung
