© Farouk Asvat

The streets are full of strangers
Old friends pass on
Quickly saying hello
New ones
They stay their distance

Now this cursed loneliness is upon me

On platforms
There isn't even a silent moment
In publications
Not even a blank space
In memory of these words

Now this cursed loneliness is upon me

I have only
Blank paper to talk to
To be filed away
To gather cobwebs
Like a sane person
In an insane institution
